'Susie Searches' trailer takes a witty jab on the true crime craze

It looks as if the hosts of Solely Murders within the Constructing might need some competitors. 

Susie Searches follows its eponymous lead, Susie (Kiersey Clemons), a clumsy faculty scholar desperately attempting to make her true crime podcast a viral, and legit, hit. So when one other scholar on campus, Jesse (Alex Wolff), goes lacking, Susie finds the proper alternative for true crime fame by attempting to resolve the case. However all is just not what it appears with Susie, because the movie’s trailer hints that our heroine would possibly really be a secret villain. 

Taking a jab at the true crime craze, Susie Searches guarantees to be a witty darkish comedy with Mashable’s Kristy Puchko describing the movie as “a well savage and satisfying experience.”

Susie Searches additionally stars Jim Gaffigan, Rachel Sennott, Ken Marino, Alex Moffat, David Walton, Isaac Powell, Geoffrey Owens, and Jared Gilman. 

Following its TIFF premiere, Susie Searches releases in theaters on July 28.
